Six months after the earthquakes, as winter approached, the people of this village struggled because they didn’t have the proper clothing to stay warm.
Pastor Utpal recognized the need of the villagers and organized a Christmas gift distribution on November 24. Around 90 families received thick, cozy blankets to help them stay warm throughout the winter.
“I am happy,” said Bidur, 70. “I liked the blankets. All are very soft, warm and good. This place is very cold. To be warm in our bed, it is very difficult here. This is very useful to protect us from the cold. Thank you so much.”
The timely gifts also helped recipients see the love of Christ and His people.
“Previous times, I did not like Christians,” said Ihit, 24, who also received a blanket. “Now I know that Christians are helpful, kind and supportive people.”
Please pray for those still trying to rebuild their lives after last year’s earthquakes. Pray also for Pastor Utpal as he ministers to those in his village and helps show them the love of Christ.
