The Feeling of Freedom

RickshawAadi pedaled his rented rickshaw quickly through the streets, hoping to return it in time. The shop closed at 5 P.M. and if he was late in getting it back, the owner would charge him extra.

The vegetables Aadi sold brought in a little income, but nearly a third of the money went to renting the rickshaw. Whatever was left over, Aadi put to use housing and feeding his family of four. Setting aside money for the future was impossible. Aadi just hoped to provide for his wife and two children.

A Gift that Opened Doors

A bright future opened up for Aadi the day Gospel for Asia’s gift distribution program presented him with a rickshaw of his own.

“Now I save money each day,” Aadi happily shares. “I am able to take care of my family. I feel freedom. At any time, I can move to do business because I have my own rickshaw.”

No longer under a time restriction, Aadi works hard to better provide for his family. His joy spilled out as he spoke to the church and people who provided this gift.

“I am very thankful to all of you from my heart. God bless you.”

See how you can make an impact this Christmas.
